Laptop screens are 80-160$ for a Toshiba on average. That is if they still make your screen model. Most of the time you can find a used version of your laptop online for cheaper than the screen itself costs and you can preform the procedure yourself. Just make sure you have the right model.

like after u erase all ur info u take it to some special place and they like re download softwar for the computer so its technically like a clthes store its like thrift.

After you erase all personal information on its hard drive, (for a Windows PC, a utility called Eraser free of charge should do the trick)
there are a variety of ways to recycle your old laptop.

Although recycling services may vary depending on your state and its laws, computer manufacturers offer a variety of recycling options.

When you buy a computer or monitor from Apple, the company will recycle, for free, one computer, one monitor, and peripherals.
Dell also offers free recycling. You can recycle Dell products at any time, and when you buy a Dell product you get free recycling of any brand of computer or monitor.
HP will recycle any brand of computer, monitor, printer, and other items for a fee.
Gateway offers buyers of its products an opportunity to trade in old computers and other equipment from any manufacturer for cash.
The same program applies to eMachines.
Sony has a free drop-off recycling program, but locations are limited.

Another computer recycling program of special note is Lenovo Canada’s PC Recycling Service for individuals and small-business customers, which allows customers to recycle any manufacturer’s PC (including system units, monitors, printers and peripherals) for $ 49.95 (Canadian dollars), including shipping.
